SUMMARY

This work is resume of previously performed determinations of municipal solid waste composition and quantity in Velika Gorica region, and for the first time wholly implemented in one Croatian city. Municipal waste composition was conducted by sorting of waste in four seasons and results were statistically treated. There were obvious regularities in expectations as well as certain deviations for which appropriate interpretations were sought.
