TITLE: REMEDIATION OF LANDFILL “TUK” IN ORAHOVICA
WITH CONTINUATION OF WORK

SUMMARY

In the city of Orahovica the waste is disposed on uncontrolled landfill. In the firm “Papuk” which is responsible for collecting the waste, exists the wish for legalization of this landfill till integral solution for whole county will be created. This work presents the way of remediation of uncontrolled landfill, and its turn into controlled landfill: for this reason investigation works are performed. Investigation works are shortly described and the way of remediation. After remediation, the sanitary landfilling is anticipated with all neccessary contents and equipment. For continuation of landfilling, the monitoring is anticipated, and also 20 years after closing the landfill. The works are anticipated in phases and if regional landfill will be open, the minimal financial means for closing the landfill will be spent.
