SUPREVSION OF SYSTEM AND QUANTITY OF WASTE IN CITY OF BJELOVAR

SUMMARY

Environmental protection problem, specially waste management, presents one of the biggest problems in whole Republic of Croatia, however, carrying out the positive law regulations, this problem could be solved satisfactory. To achieve the better environmental protection beside the improvement of quality of the life, it is necessary to take over the whole waste control since the place of it’s origin till the final treatment. The sources of waste origin are households, industry, etc., where the municipal and industrial waste is made. Since the foundation of the firm “Komunalac” - Bjelovar, the data of made quantities and composition of the waste are noted. Because of that, the control of entrance of the vehicles, periodical testing balance as well as “sorting” the waste are made. In this work, the review of fortifying the quantities of waste, mass and volume, as well as fortifying the municipal waste structure, are given. At the end, the parallel review of quantities of the waste in the period for which data exists, are given. Also, the examine data about compacted municipal waste on the landfill “Doline” are presented.
