SUMMARY

Integrated Waste Management System consists of a few subsystems. Waste recycling (PR) and separate collection of pollutants (IŠT) are one of the most important subsystems. In the City of Zagreb, the separate collection of some sorts of household waste was started in 1988. Taking into consideration the circumstances under which this project is carried out, the results point out the satisfactory trends. After detailed insight in existing conditions, the series of activities were brought in, showing increase in quantities of separate collected waste components in 1999.
